Decker inducted into modern language studies honor society

Lindsay Decker, a archaeology and history major, was inducted into the Phi Sigma Iota honor society at Lycoming College.

Phi Sigma Iota Foreign Language Honor Society recognizes scholastic achievement in foreign languages. There are approximately 250 chapters of Phi Sigma Iota at institutions of higher learning in the United States, Mexico and France.

Lycoming's Delta Chi Chapter recognizes outstanding language students who have completed two courses at the 300 level or higher and have a 3.5 GPA in the studied language. Students must be juniors or seniors and also must have departmental recommendation and enthusiasm for the study of language and culture.

Sandra Kingery, Ph.D., professor of Spanish, is the adviser for Lycoming's chapter.
