Gehringer inducted into accounting and business honor society

Melanie Gehringer of Cochranville, Pa., with a major in psychology and business management, was inducted into the College's chapter of Sigma Beta Delta, the honor society for business students in April.

Sigma Beta Delta encourages and recognizes scholarship and the achievements of students in the business, management and administration fields. It also encourages and promotes personal and professional improvement, and a life distinguished by honorable service to humankind.

Membership in Sigma Beta Delta is the highest national recognition a business student can receive at a college or university. To be eligible for membership, a student must rank in the upper 10 percent of the junior or senior class and be invited to membership by the faculty officers.

Heather Demshock, assistant professor of accounting, is the advisor for Lycoming's chapter.
