Joshua Cram selected for Lycoming College summer research program

2015 Aug 13

Joshua Cram, a rising junior with a major in chemistry from Lock Haven, Pa., will be developing microfabrication techniques to study the formation of molecular films at the surface of carbon materials under Jeremy Ramsey, Ph.D., assistant professor of chemistry. Cram’s project uses an engineering focus rather than chemical. The devices and materials that he is producing will later be used to produce molecular layers that can be studied on a chemical level later.

For more than 20 years, the department has offered the paid research opportunity, hosting several students full-time each summer to complete complex projects of six to ten weeks. All of the department's full-time faculty members work alongside the students, making the program a rewarding opportunity for all participants.
