Katherine Stepnowski inducted into the Lambda Pi Eta national honor society

2015 Oct 19

Katherine Stepnowski, a junior with major(s) in digital communications from Boyertown, Pa., was inducted into the Lycoming College chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Association's official honor society, during a ceremony earlier this year.

The junior and senior inductees must be in good standing and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 for all courses and 3.25 for communication studies. They also must rank within the highest 35 percent of their respective class in general scholarship.

Lambda Pi Eta is the National Communication Association's official honor society at four-year colleges and universities world-wide. The fraternity represents what Aristotle described in The Rhetoric as three ingredients of persuasion: logos (lambda), meaning logic; pathos (pi), relating to emotion; and ethos (eta), defined as character credibility and ethics. Lambda Pi Eta recognizes, fosters and rewards outstanding scholastic achievement while stimulating interest in the communication discipline.
