Lycoming College Montana Crossman student completes WISE Intership

Montana Crossman from, Dover Foxcroft Maine, was matched with Judith Olinsky, a resident artist and gallerist in Williamsport, as well as the Vice President of Lycoming County's arts council, Lycoming Arts. The organization is non-profit, and thus volunteer based; Lycoming Arts acts as an intermediary between local artists and larger organizations and businesses that would like to work with them. Perhaps the most famous of Lycoming Art's events is First Friday. First Friday is a celebration of the arts that occurs on every first Friday of the month, from April to October. The event takes place in downtown Williamsport, which is a five-minute walk from the college campus. Montana believes she has have been lucky enough this summer to not only take part in organizing and planning for the event, but also participating as a citizen, as well as by working with Judy in her gallery.
