Lycoming College to showcase artistic variety of student films

2017 Apr 10

Seniors of Lycoming College's Video and Film Arts program will present more than a dozen short films at a screening on April 21 at 7 p.m. in the Community Arts Center in downtown Williamsport.

The films represent a variety of genres including narrative, documentary, 2D animation, motion graphic animation, claymation and silhouette stop motion animation. Students select the genre and focus of their films and produce it over the course of a year.

"I am excited by the variety of genres that our seniors have chosen to work in this year," said Leah Peterson, associate professor of film and video arts and director of the film and video arts program. "The films showcase the students' artistic development and their ability to connect emotionally and intellectually with audiences of all ages."

The videos, which run between five and 11 minutes, include "Ramona," documentary by Jason Graff, of Woodcliff Lake, N.J..
