Sipple named MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week

After hitting her first seven shots from the field to lead the Lycoming College women's basketball team to a 30-point win over Alvernia, junior Haley Sipple (Boothwyn, Pa./Chichester) has earned her first career MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week award, the conference office in Annville, Pa., announced on Monday, Dec. 19.

The 5-10 forward scored all 18 of her points in the first half to help Lycoming improve to 2-2 in the MAC Commonwealth as Lycoming posted an 80-50 win over Alvernia on Dec. 13. She hit her seven shots from the field, including four 3-pointers as Lycoming rolled out to a 55-22 halftime lead. Sipple, who finished 7-of-9 from the field, also had a steal and an assist in the game.

Sipple is fourth on the Warriors with an average of 9.1 points per game and fifth with 5.3 rebounds. She leads the team with nine 3-pointers and a .515 field goal percentage.

Sipple is the first Warrior to earn the MAC Commonwealth's Player of the Week award since Chelsea Henderson '16 earned it on Dec. 29, 2014.
